The thing with games, in addition to RuneScape gold all technologies, is they are constantly advancing. Think back to when runescape was initially launched 13-ish years back - think about how technology and gambling as a whole have advanced in the previous thirteen years. Consider how many runescape players (myself included) left for additional MMORPGs which use a similar activity bar system. Obviously I'm talking of World of Warcraft. Now I am not saying runescape should be like WOW, maybe not at all, but many moos today follow the EOC-style HCI. Why do 99% do this?
Since its proven to work. Without updates like this runescape would perish, not only from a game point of view, but from a business perspective. Jagex in the conclusion of the day is a business that must pay its employees, pay tax and most of all make a gain. If they didn't keep runescape on level with contest it would quickly lose out.
Progression and adaption is critical to all things in existence, but with technology it is even more significant. You make the point that people have been the dominant race through changing their sorroundings, but that's a very different thing. I really don't know how old you are but think on the last 20 years - we, as technology users, have had to adapt - through the use of VCR to CD to DVD, through the use of different interfacing devices (touchscreen is a huge one).
In the world of engineering, which gaming falls into, adaptation is nessecary from the end user. I'm confident you'd rather see Runescape keep up to date with its competition and survive many more years - however with a backward attitude of"no major upgrades cos we do not like them" runescape is place to slowly burn out.
EoC is not really the situation. To me, it's simply more clicking for Best OSRS Gold site exactly the exact same outcome, and the highlight is being able to queue emotes. WoW I use 80 odd keys and there is a minigame involved in working out DPS improvements or exercising new tactics in PvP. Although I'm an old lover of mind controlling foes off cliffs.
